"A group is ideologically diverse with respect to a controversial question X when there are a significant number of members who hold incompatible answers to X (including agnosticism about X). So, ideological diversity is relative to some issue. A group can be diverse in some respects and non-diverse in others." (McBrayer 2024, 616)
